I avoided this item for a week after I bought it. The can was so small and I wondered how good could canned chili be? Well......I tasted it and it made me do the happy dance! It was delicious. I missed having beans. It was thick and perfectly spiced. I'd been getting worried about lunches since so far I've only loved the turkey burger and the chicken sandwich.

I'm happy to add this to my weekly rotation!

Thanks, Jenny!

It IS good! I remember several years ago JC was unable to get it for a while because it was made in Canada and it couldn't cross the border because of mad cow. They had to find some company in the USA to make it, and people were pretty upset at the long wait.

Take care,
Angela

I agree with you completely! I also love the turkey chili, so many of the shelf stable foods are unedible ,so to have some I love was a surprise. I ordered frozen foods yesterday and also ordered more of both chilis.

You think it's good now? Try a little bit of fat free sour cream (and if you have a starch left) a wheat tortilla.

I also love the chili! I've stuffed a green pepper with it and baked it (two peppers if you volumize the chili with some more free veggies). I also love throwing the chili over a bed of greens with some fresh peppers, tomatoes and salsa like a taco salad.

I'm sure there are other great ways to change up the chili and would love to hear about them!

Chili is great! I like to add in the sourdough bites or the cheese crackers to make a VERY hearty meal. Haven't tried the everything crackers yet, but I'm going to!

I add my can of chili (or even the Turkey Chili) to a can of Stewed Mexican Tomatoes with green chilis in a saucepan and heat it on the stove. Add a bit of chili powder and cumin and simmer, breaking up the tomatoes with a spoon until heated through. It triples the portion and its so good. Add a bit of RF mexican cheese, NF sour cream and you'll be full till dinner!

I make a taco salad with the chili and it's awesome. Buy a bag of shredded lettuce and pico de gallo. Stir it all up and it's yummy.

I am so thrilled to read all the posts about the chili. I have it in my pantry, but I have been afraid to try it. I will definitely try it now. I purchased Valleri B's book, "Losing It" and she mentions in there that Kirstie's favorite is the Turkey Chili, so I ordered some. Can't wait to get it.
THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR THE IDEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS....I LOVE HAVING YOU ALL FOR FRIENDS.

I love taking it to work for lunch, so I was upset to learn that it is one of the items being discontinued. I ordered extra of it this week.

The one they replaced it with is a dinner item, however. I have it and will try it this week, but like many others, was so shocked that they eliminated the chili. I bought a case of it. My husband loved it too and for him (definitely not on the JC diet), a can was perfect to top a couple of hot dogs with some left over.

and now it's almost $1 more than the lunch chili was, of course. angry.gif
