This is my fourth week and I haven't lost anything. I'm very discouraged. I am ravenous during the day and I think the limited options for vegetarians leaves mostly pasta for dinner and I think that's what's been keeping the weight on.

Any thoughts?

We need more information. Some questions off the top of my head...

How much do you want to lose?

What did you eat like prior to JC?

Are you exercising?

What calorie level are you on?

What does your JCC say?

Have you spoken with the corporate nutritionist?

Are you eating all of your unlimited and limited options?

How old are you?

Do you have any medical conditions or are you on any medications?

Nevermind. I saw another post where you said you were giving up on JC and going with South Beach.

Best of everything to you in your journey.

How much do you want to lose?
I only want to lose 15-20 lbs

What did you eat like prior to JC?

Oatmeal or cereal in the morning, usually a veggie burger at lunch with some crackers or something, pizza for din-din but I did a lot of snacking in front of the TV after dinner, that was my downfall.

Are you exercising?
yes 3 times a week

What calorie level are you on?
I'm on the 1200 calorie program

What does your JCC say?
I haven't approached them about it yet

Have you spoken with the corporate nutritionist?
No, I didn't even know there was one

Are you eating all of your unlimited and limited options?
I'm eating the vegetables with dinner and the soupetizers and salad with lunch. Some pickles if I'm desperate, jello...

How old are you?
I'm 43

Do you have any medical conditions or are you on any medications?
nope, I'm very healthy physically.

I'm surprised that your consultant has seen you four weeks in a row with no losses without asking more questions. Contacting the corporate nutritionist is something they often suggest when there are unexplained stagnations like yours. The program isn't cookie-cutter, one-size-fits all and there are modifications that can be made. But it sounds like you've made up your mind to do something else. No one program is right for everyone. You may indeed do better on something else.

i haven't felt hungry at all for the past 2 days doing South Beach so I really think it's that there's too much fruit and pasta on the plan. Oh well, onward and upward...

I'm glad South Beach is working well for you. I would just like to add that there may be too much fruit and pasta on JC for YOU. No one program is right for everyone, but that doesn't mean the program is wrong for everyone either. Many things in life are trial and error. Again, I'm glad you found something that suits you better. Best of everything to you!

Amen sista!

I wouldn't recommend to anybody that they should be on JC if they are cutting out a major food group -- that would include vegetarians AND Atkins diet addicts. Geeze. Balanced nutrition comes from eating proper portions from all food groups (unless of course you are on the sugar only diet -- if there is such a thing).
