How do you cope with the limitations of lactose intolerant items on this food plan? I have 50-60 lbs. to lose. I've been on this plan before and did so well (41 lbs lost) but got so bored with the food due to the limitations.
Thanks for the input!

I'm Lacto-Intol. too. But I am not having any problems following the JC plan.
I buy Lactose-Free, Fat free Milk- Smart Balance and Lactaid are two brands. They are great for a glass of milk and for cereals.
The AT bars do not affect me adversely whatsoever.
I have not experienced any lacto-side effects from any of the JC meals either.
I do not think they are heavily-laden with dairy really. Maybe it is just me.
Lactaid also makes sliced cheese. You may want to shop and look for all the new food/dairy products that may be available- there are allot more than ever before.

I also am able to enjoy Dannon Fit & Light yogurts- they are delish, without "side effects". I do not think it is Lactose-free, but it is fine and can be a limited JC food item, or I count it as a milk on days when I eat a JC oatmeal bar for breakfast.

I used to take the lactose pills before sitting down to a nice big bowl of icecream (full fat/full milk)- BUT! Since joining JC and choosing NOT to do THAT sort of thing anymore- I have not needed the pills.

I take a 24 hour lactose pill that I get at Walgreens. A 30 day supply is about 9 dollars. I take the pill every morning before breakfast and it really helps. I've checked it with my doctor and he said there is no problems with taking it.
