There was a great thread on the old board in which people listed their LEAST favorite Jenny foods. I just thought I'd create a new one since it was such an interesting thread and it doesn't seem to have survived the upgrade. It amazes me how some people hate some of my favorites and love some of the ones I hate!

Anyway, my LEAST favorite Jenny foods are:

The Tuna and Chicken Salad kits (Cat food kits!)

The Italian Wedding Soup

The Pesto Pizza (you can't put it in a toaster oven)

The Chicken Pasta Parmesan

The Ravioli (and I love ravioli, just not this one!)

I Love the Salad Kits and Pesto Pizza...

Dislike:
Chicken and Sausage Gumbo - Bland. Had to add salt.
Mac and Cheese - It was OK
Salmon - Too Sweet.
Swedish Meatballs - Didn't even taste, smelled really bad.

There are some shelf stable food I haven't tried yet and I am too afraid to even taste them.

I don't like the salad kids. I tried them on the first couple of weeks... but, no thank you.

Dessert wise - I've never been much for "cookies & cream" type things.. but that's just a matter of personal preference. I LOVE the chocolate cherry cheesecake though!

I've found I prefer the frozen meals to the shelf stable. Most of the foods are pretty good! biggrin.gif

VEGETABLE & CHICKEN POTSTICKERS
CREAMY POTATO w/ROASTED GARLIC SOUP
JENNY'S CAESAR DRESSING

Although I do have a list of foods I would rather not order--these are the ones that I definitely would not be sad if they took them off the list.

I used to love to read this thread on the old boards...always good for a laugh...

The salad kits are DISGUSTING - cat food kits is right...

I also don't like the mac & cheese -which shocked me as I expected to like it...

I'm a little nervous now about the potato soup, wldgrl - I just ordered it for the first time! Uh oh! Someone posted a way to thicken it up with spinach and add some shredded (low fat ) cheese to it...maybe this will help?? unsure.gif

I dislike the chicken and pasta parmesan...mushy and tasteless
swedish meatballs...yuck
chicken and beans
.
I agree with the other posters about the shelf stable foods too...kind of gross...I do like the turkey chili (dinner) and pour onto a large salad...add salsa and it's a delicious taco salad

I only started about a month ago and did some of the prepared menus to get a variety of the meals...but now I prefer to choose my own. Have a great week!!

I love the potato soup but I doctor is up a bit with some bac'n bits and hot sauce. I also like the mac and cheese.

I don't like probably all (I haven't tried them all but the ones I have tried, I've hated) the shelf stable foods but the one I couldn't even eat was the Sweet and Sour Chicken. I took one bite and couldn't force myself to take another. My husband wound up eating it (he's not on the program), he said it wasn't as bad as I was making it out to be but he definitely wouldn't eat it again. I also hate the "Italian" shelf stable foods, the tortellini, the ravioli, the chicken pasta parm...they all taste like Chef Boyardee. They really need to work on their pasta sauce! If a better sauce is unstable, make it a frozen dish. Or just put the sauce seperate from the pasta. I make my own sauce and it's plenty healthy so I would be more than willing to put my own on it. But then that wouldn't be following the program...oh well, maybe I should give them my recipe?? laugh.gif

I have been on the program for a while....and I do re-visit dishes and try them different ways to find out if I really don't care for them. I have to say that I didn't like the potato soup the first time--but I DIDN'T add anything to it. I also didn't like the potstickers the first time--and didn't volumize that meal, either. Sometimes we just need to try it a different way.

My response related to my FIRST impressions of those meals. Our first impressions often keep us from retrying meals again. I have come upon many posters who have volumized those same meals and the more I read...I may try their recipes.

Please don't make an impression from the negative posts (including mine LOL). Generally, I like ALL the Jenny Craig meals--I like food!!!

After almost 4 weeks on JC, the only foods I don't like are the mexican chicken tortilla soup (too watery and spicy) and the Italian wedding soup (also very watered down), these are both bowl soups but the homestyle chicken soup in the box is awesome! The tuna salad kit I didn't like but the chicken salad is okay, especially if you put it on top of a salad of greens and tomatoes with dressing.

I am afraid to try the salisbury steak, it sounds gross to me, what does everyone else think?

The shelf foods so far have been very good ( and cheaper than the frozen too) I like the lentils w/ beef (very filling), I didn't mind the sweet and sour chicken. I chose the cheese tortellini thinking it was a frozen dinner and was shocked when I got home and saw it comes in a tiny little CAN?! But you'd be surprised how many tortellini they can shove in that can. a lot of sauce too, just wish I could have used some italian bread to eat it all up! biggrin.gif

I toally agree with the shelf foods.....YUK and the tuna/chicken salad kits.....puleeeze. For the most part I only order the frozen items....much more tastier.

I also could not get down the salmon....threw it right out, and I love salmon.

My very favorites are the veg & chicken potstickers for dinner and the chicken enchiladas or burrito for lunch.
Yummy!

Great post.

Slim, the salibury steak is really good. It comes frozen. It is one of my fav's but I also like the cat food kits. You have to try it for youself. As you see everyone has very different tastes.

I REALLY dislike the Swedish Meatballs - the only thing, in a month, I was unable to eat. I avoid the shelf foods - just seem gross to me.

My favorites are the chicken burrito, chicken enchiladas, turkey burger (with lettuce & tomato), meatloaf.

The vegetable noodle soup. In the paper carton-add boiling water. I ate it with my salad (all I had for lunch) but I was not impressed. Will not order again- there's too many other things I like!
But I AM trying everything at least once- to keep variety in menus!

any of the shelf stable food with tomato sauce (rotini w meatballs, chicken pasta parmeson, etc) because the pasta sauce tastes like undiluted tomato soup. The frozen tomato sauce in the lasagna and the canned tomato sauce in the spinach tortellini are good though so don't be afraid of them.

The personal pan and pesto pizza's have disappointed me. I can put a tablespoon of sauce and an ounce of cheese on a cracker.....yuck....definately not worth the price. The toppings don't even cover the pizza crust (or cracker). I do like the barbeque chicken pizza.

I liked the chicken potstickers the first few times I tried them but the last one I had was loaded with salt and has really turned me off if that particular meal. I know it was probably just another QC issue but still.....I couldn't eat it!

The rest of the food is great but don't be surprised if you get a meal that was shorted a bit. My first chicken mesquite had a tiny piece of chicken and my meatloaf was really a mini in the first meals I got but the last few have been nice sized.

I'm not a big fan of it. The taste is bland and the sauce is gloppy. I much prefer the meatloaf.

I can't believe the old thread didn't make the upgrade. URGH!!!

Anyway, my all-time least favorite Jenny food is without a doubt the cat-food passing as tuna kits...YUCK!!!
The chicken salad kits are a close second.

Other than that:

Breakfast-Breakfast scramble

Lunch- Tuna/salad kits..nuff' said

Dinner- Potstickers with "tofu" on top masquerading as chicken...like the potstickers, but the tofu has got to go
