i'm really glad there are other vegetarians on here. i was really skeptical before I joined that I wasn't going to have any food variety... and though its not great, I think it's do-able, espeically because i get to create my own salads.
this is just day four on JC for me, so we'll see how it goes.

Good luck!
If you like tons of variety, it may be a little tricky, but I've done very well with the vegetarian options. It's not too much of a big deal for me to not have tons of choices.

Welcome!! I'm one of those who needs variety, so that is one of the reasons I've quit JC in the past. This time around, I'm trying to be more open minded by incorporating some of the meat dishes into my menu and then just picking out the meat (I give it to my cats) and replaceing it with tofu or shrimp (I do eat seafood on occassion). I know most vegetarians don't want meat anywhere near their food. I used to be that way, but I've decided sticking to the program is more important to me right now, so I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I've even toyed with the idea of trying to eat chicken again, but it's been over fifteen years. I don't know if I can bring myself to do it, but it would make this JC thing easier.

im not picky about my food coming in contact with meat, so just picking it out is a really good idea.
my first week went well! I ate my food and only encounter one thing I didn't like at all. my first weigh in is on monday, and i'll see how i did!

Be sure to check the on-line menu for pictures of the foods. It pretty easy to tell which ones you can pick the meat out of and which ones would be tough. Good luck to you!!

My food just arrived yesterday and I started the program today. I have always had trouble sticking to diets with pre-packaged food, because I am a veggie, but I have an allergy to broccoli. So many veggie foods are full of broc. I decided this time to be more open-minded. I am going to try the fish and chips, and I even ordered two chicken dishes.
Wish me luck!

Hi all- I too am a vegetarian and have been doing Jenny for about 5 months and have lost 30 pounds. I am VERY tired of the Jenny food since there are so few veggie options and have reached a plateau since I am finding it hard to stick to the program with so few choices. I did find some great recipes on the Jenny website though. The Black Bean Lasagna rolls are great. You might looks there for some other ideas. Good luck to everyone!

Hi veggies! I'm not a vegetarian but I noticed that some of you don't mind picking out the meat in meals and I thought I would let you know which ones might be easy to to that with.
beef chow mein
chicken strips with rice medley
rotini with meatballs
swedish meatballs
fajitas
chicken fettuccine
sweet and sour chicken
beef steak portobello
There are a few others that are obvious (like turkey and gravy)
Hope this helps you guys, it must be hard with the limited choices.
