I was just told by my jc councelor that I should stack up on my personalized and planned meatless menus, since they will be phased out. She says the veggie food will not go, but they will no longer have the menus for us veggies. (For your info...I attend a jc corporate center, not a franchise)
I am soo soo sad, even though it is still 6 months away before they will implement this new policy.

Thanks for the info. Wow, talk about not a smart business move. That's not cool.

Did she say why they are getting rid of the menues? I wonder if the online menu planner will also lose the veg-planning ability.

I think if you take into account how many people are veg and how many people arent, they are figuring out the menus arent getting use as much as the others. So they are phazing them out. If you enjoy the menu you can still have everything on it - it would be personalized though instead of put in for you. It is a bummer though, I dont forsee them taking it off the website - but it would be a good question to ask the web guy.

I know this is kind of an old post, but are you saying they are getting rid the veggie food options? If they do that, I'm going to Nutrisystem. They have a very similar program and a lot of vegetarian food options.

No food will be removed, just the menus. I also here they are getting rid of Leslie Sansome and replacing her with a yoga and pilates lady.

Hmmm. Why would they do this? I just joined this week and I was dissapointed to find out that there is only one veggie menu, and I was hoping that eventually they would add more. What are we going to do when they get rid of the veg food?? Hmmm- I better lose my weight fast!

It sounds to me that they are discriminating against us veggie people. They are going to lose a lot of veggie clients. We are all ready buying half of our food through other sources, just because JC is very limited in that area. It doesn't make us feel very important to their company. I have been a regular lifetimer for a few years now and 99.99% of the meals that I buy are meatless and they cannot even provide me with a menu for the meals that I do buy as a client of theirs!!! That is "OUTRAGIOUS!!!"

Hi there, another veggie in the ranks.
I was told that the vegetarian, or meatless, food ITEMS are still being produced and sold - it is just the 1500 cal. meatless preplanned MENU option that is being phased out.So, no automatic meatless menu interface on the website.
I am using the Personalized Menu option and with help putting together a 1200 calorie vegetarian menu plan - and I have lost 10 pounds in three weeks.
I have found the personalized menu planning interface on the website a total waste of time. The drop down boxes do not show all the available food products - so, guess it is an old fashioned pencil and eraser on the blank menu forms they send me!
Cheers! ~B

Yes, I have noticed that whenever they do have new meals that come out, they fail to include them into the website menus.
"AND"! It has been a long time since they had some new food items to choose from.
I would love to see a meat loaf made similar to the veggie burger with some of JC broccoli and red potatoes.
Or some meatballs made like the veggie burger with some baked ziti.
Some Manicotti made the JC way would be Hummm! Hummm! Good!
Some Fettuccine with broccoli florets! Yummy!
Some Zucchini muffins and some carrot muffins! Yummy! And some Chocolate Chip muffins.
An Egg and Cheese Sunshine Sandwich.
"Oh Happy Day"!
Come on JC, lets see some more options and some more creativity.
You can do it!

Welllll....JC went and did it. They eliminated our meatless menu. Doesn't that make us feel loved?

I guess now if we get weighed from doing a personalized menu, JC can tell us that we are not losing because we are not following a planned menu.

Who is Leslie Sansome?
I guess if they are just going to stick with personalized menus, then all meal are probably going to be around the same calories so that we can mix and match them and not go over our calorie count. That will be a good thing. Now if they can also give us a few more meatless options that will be great too. I can't remember how long it has been since we have had new meals to choose from. I do love the Pesto Pizza and the Florentine Ravioli.
