Hi Moheen,
I just thought I would give my two cents here. I do not think one can give up dairy and eggs on JC.

Another two cents
Actually you can do the program without eggs and dairy. It just limits your choices severely. Though doing without eggs is probably easier than doing without dairy since most of the vegetarian entrees contain cheese. It will just take diligence and a willingness to read all the ingredient labels. good luck.

Moheen,
I am not trying to be argumentative, but I am curious which veggie meals have no eggs in the ingredients. Most of the pasta dishes have eggs in them as does the veggie burger.
You must be eating a lot of baked potatoes, pizza and cereal.

bastet, yes, most of my meals contain those ingredients, but i'm fine with it...and have lost 8 pounds! to answer your question, the entrees are pasta ole, mac and cheese, penne pasta, various pizzas, stuffed baked potatoes, potatoe soup, pasta fagioli. i eat these with salad or a big plate of veggies. in fact, the only other vegetarian entrees that contain eggs are three pasta dishes and a soup. breakfast is also not an issue. i don't eat flesh or eggs for religious reasons so i cannot compromise. hope this answers your question. peace, moheen

Thanks for replying Moheen,
I do not have the penne pasta so I could not check the ingredients. My center has one veggie soup (potato). I am not sure what the other soup is you mention.
Just an FYI - the pasta fagioli in my cabinet contains egg whites.
Your original posting got my attention because I am a vegetarian who has considered going vegan, and I was surprised that the pasta dishes and veggie burger contain eggs. I did not know that when I first bought the products.
Just as a personal note, I do not eat animal flesh or by products (like gelatin) for moral reasons, so I do not eat the mac and cheese or pesto pizza because they are not meatless according to JC because of the rennet.
I do eat dairy products; although I am not proud of it.

I know for a fact that the only VEGAN item JC has in the US is the sour dough bites. And the only reason I know is I met someone who started out on this program as a vegi and had mentioned she wanted to go vegan. Her consultant said that will be fine, I guess not knowing exactly what vegan ment. Fortunatly she got to her goal quickly so she didnt have a long time to wait to start doing vegan - she was a little annoyed though.
