Jenny Craig Introduces "Ultimate Choice" To Help Busy Professionals Balance the Scales
LA JOLLA, Calif., May 15, 2001 - On-the-go professionals are always on the lookout for smart solutions to save time. Weight loss is no exception.
Jenny Craig, Inc., one of the largest weight management programs worldwide, today announced its newest program enhancement, Ultimate Choice, a menu specifically designed to adapt to the dynamic daily routines and unique weight-loss needs of busy people. Also debuting this month are nine new Jenny's Cuisine food items, wrapped up in a colorful new packaging design.
The Ultimate Choice menu allows clients to choose their favorite foods based on personal taste preferences, lifestyles and budget, which helps them remain motivated and focused on achieving their weight-loss goals. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack items can be interchanged, allowing clients to truly customize their own menus. Special menu icons guide choices of tastes and special needs, such as meatless, budget and those items best suited for travel.
For people who prefer more structure in their weight management program or have specific dietary needs, new Ready-to-Go and Meatless pre-planned menus also are available.
"We listen to what people say about their personal weight management needs," says Patti Larchet, president and chief operating officer of Jenny Craig, Inc. "Some want a plan with more structure, while others want more flexibility because they travel or eat out. Now Jenny Craig can provide both."
According to Lisa Talamini, R.D., Jenny Craig's director of nutrition and program development, offering more choices gives clients accountability for their own success.
"Weight loss is a journey, not a destination," explains Talamini. "At Jenny Craig, our goal is to help clients learn not only how to lose weight, but how to acquire a balanced lifestyle to help them maintain their goals. By involving them more in the process of designing nutritionally balanced menu plans, we're teaching them how to become long-term weight managers."
To further provide flexibility and convenience, Jenny Craig also is launching online menu planning at www.jennycraig.com, allowing members to easily design and print their customized menus. Selecting Jenny's Cuisine items and creating menus before their weekly Consultations frees up more time with their Consultant to share successes and strategize for the coming week.
New Foods and Packaging
Jenny Craig also is introducing a variety of new foods, packaged in a colorful and appealing new look. The foods include the Strawberry Bar, a breakfast item back by popular demand; Creamy Garlic Mushroom Soup; Parmesan Pasta Soup; Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Potato; Traditional Lasagna; Sweet and Sour Chicken; Pasta Fagioli; and snacks such as Ranch Flavored Soy Nuts and Trail Mix.
