Jenny Craig Unwraps Zesty New Line of Salad Dressings & Sauces

CARLSBAD, California, Sept. 7 - Adding a touch of pizzazz to an otherwise light and healthful entrée can be done without adding the guilt, thanks to the introduction of a new line of low-calorie, fat-free salad dressings/marinades and sauces from Jenny Craig, Inc. These flavorful new items supplement the recently introduced YourStyle® program, which offers clients flexible, personalized weight loss plans based on Jenny Craig's integrated Food-Body-Mind platform.
"I am a passionate believer in the philosophy that healthful eating does not have to be boring," says Chef Cary Neff, world-renowned spa chef, author of Conscious Cuisine and Jenny Craig's culinary consultant. "You can cook and eat nutritiously without compromising taste."
Inspired by Chef Neff's philosophy, the Orange and Basil, Lemon and Dill, Lime and Cilantro, and Tangerine and Mint dressings are delicious on salads and side dishes, and can also be used as light, fruit-inspired marinades for lean meats, fish and poultry. The diverse, distinct Shitake Mushroom Sauce, Ginger Soy Sauce, Tomato Rosemary Relish, and Roasted Tomato Salsa infuse a creative flair into existing Jenny Craig dishes and can enhance healthy, homemade recipes.
"We studied the hottest trends in citrus-herb combinations and flavors like ginger and roasted tomato, and went to work in our test kitchen," adds Neff. "The new dressings and sauces reflect the best recipes with the least amount of calories, fat and sodium."
Each of the eight new items has only 15-20 calories and zero grams of fat per two tablespoon serving -- as compared with an average of 90 calories per serving and 10 grams of fat in leading grocery store offerings. The salad dressings and sauces join a variety of new Jenny Craig dishes, including Ravioli Florentine and Pesto Pizza, as well as high-protein snacks like Almond Walnut Snack Mix and Turkey Jerky.

The new dressings and sauces have a suggested retail price of $3.99 each and will be available at Jenny Craig Centres and online at www.jennycraig.com beginning Sept. 27. The new entrees and high-protein snacks are available to Jenny Craig clients now.
