Jenny Craig Rolls Out Red Carpet for American Heart Association's National Wear Red Day for Women

Leading Weight Management Company Supports Awareness of Women's Heart Health Issues

CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb. 4- Jenny Craig, Inc. today announced its support of the American Heart Association's National Wear Red Day for Women, which encourages people to "Go Red" by wearing red clothing and sponsoring initiatives that raise public awareness about women's health issues.

In support of the initiative, each of the approximate 650 Jenny Craig Centres in the U.S. will "Go Red" on February 6. Each Centre will distribute AHA "Red Dress" pins to clients and staff members and encourage them to wear red clothing in support of all women who have been touched by cardiovascular disease.

"We're proud to support a national program that encourages women to take health to heart and take control of their lives," said Lisa Talamini, senior registered dietitian and director of program development and nutrition for Jenny Craig, Inc. "Jenny Craig has always been a proponent of women's health issues and this event provides a forum to educate millions of Americans about proper prevention and treatment."

As part of the "National Wear Red Day for Women" celebration, each Jenny Craig Centre will encourage a $5 donation from their staff members who choose to wear red clothing for the event. The Centres will also feature "Go Red" posters and newsletters to further raise awareness.
