The Medical Advisory Board members provide ongoing counsel to update the education and lifestyle strategies Jenny Craig provides clients to enhance the effectiveness of the Program. The new members follow:

Steven N. Blair

Steven N. Blair, PED Professor of Exercise Science and Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina

Dr. Blair's research focuses on the associations between lifestyle and health, with a specific emphasis on exercise, physical fitness, body composition and chronic disease.

Nehman Dresner, M.D

Nehama Dresner, MD Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Obstetrics Gynecology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Director, Wellsprings Health Associates, Specialists in Women’s Health and Medical Psychiatry

Dr. Dresner is a board-certified psychiatrist with specialized training in women’s health issues. She is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Obstetrics/Gynecology at Northwestern University Medical School, and Director of Wellsprings Health Associates: Specialists in Women’s Health.

Frank Greenway M.D

Frank Greenway, MD Pennington Biomedical Research Center

Dr. Greenway's area of research is in the treatment of obesity with an emphasis on pharmacological and nutriceutical interventions. He is Professor and Medical Director of the Pennington outpatient research clinic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

G. Alan Marlatt, Ph.D.

G. Alan Marlatt, PhD University of Washington

Dr. Marlatt's research and clinical focus includes the prevention and treatment of addictive behaviors. He is an internationally recognized psychologist and currently a Professor of Psychology and Director of the Addictive Behaviors Research Center at the University of Washington.


Jenny Craig’s Medical Advisory Board has existed since 1989. Dr. Greenway and Dr. Marlatt are founding members and have served on the Board for 15 years. Dr. Blair has been a member for 10 consecutive years. The Medical Advisory Board members play a pivotal role in the development of the nutritional and exercise components of the Program as well as the design of the Maintenance Program.
